laurie's love mission
is to Connect, Empower and Inspire every member who joins the Laurie’s Love app so that no Warrior goes through their cancer journey alone. Laurie’s Love is a forum to speak privately and candidly with someone who understands the specific path that you are on, the precise treatments you are enduring and/or have endured, and the aftereffects of those treatments.
This app is designed to be a common place to lift each other up during the difficult days and to provide inspiration on the momentous days that should be celebrated. It is a community to share personal stories to help empower one another as you work towards a victory over your cancer while keeping the faith that a cure is on the horizon.

Pick Up
To ensure a smooth and stress-free race experience, all participants are encouraged to attend Packet Pick-Up Day prior to the Laurie’s Love Legacy Run.

DATE: Friday, September 26, 2025 from 9-11am
LOCATION: Registration Booth at 480 Bayshore Dr SE
During Packet Pick-Up, you’ll receive:
Your official race bib
Your swag bag with sponsor goodies
Event T-shirt (if included in your ticket type)
This is also a great opportunity to ask any last-minute questions, get familiar with the event layout, and connect with other participants and volunteers.
From the ages of 3-12, kiddos can join in on the fun! Take part in a 200 meter dash at 9am just before the 5k at 9:30am. Once they complete their race, they can enjoy bounces houses, live music and food trucks!

What is the purpose of this event?
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about Laurie’s Love’s mission: to Connect, Empower and Inspire every member who joins so that no Warrior goes through their cancer journey alone.
Is this a timed race?
Yes! Great for our avid runners who are in search of another race to have under their belt. All are welcome as this is a walk/run and meant to be fun and for a great cause.

What is the race route like?
The course is a flat terrain with beautiful views of downtown St.Petersburg and the waterfront. We will be starting at 480 Bayshore Dr SE at the Albert Whitted Airport running to the Vinoy and back.
Can I register on race day?
No, all registration must be completed online before packet pick-up on September 25th.
Do I have to run or can I walk?
All are welcome to run or walk this 5k event!
Are strollers or pets allowed?
Strollers are allowed in the race, pets are not unless on the sidelines or on a leash enjoying the other activities.
Can I just donate if I don't want to participate?
Of course! We appreciate every contribution! Please submit your donation here.
Is there going to be parking?
Parking will not be provided, however, there is plenty of parking nearby.
If I am a vendor, where do I need to go?
All vendors have the opportunity to set up from 7AM – 8:30AM by the Albert Whitted Airplane Park. All vehicles must be out of that areas by 8:30AM as security needs to clear the area before the race commences.
