These terms apply to laurieslove.org, laurieslovelegacyrun.org and the related services of Laurie’s Love, Inc. (“Laurie’s Love”, “we”, “us”), a Florida not for profit corporation and 501(c)(3) organization. By using our websites or services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Use of the Laurie’s Love app is also subject to the terms presented in the app.

Not medical advice

Laurie’s Love is a peer support community. Nothing on our websites, in the app or at our events is medical advice, and nothing here replaces the advice of your doctor or care team. Always talk to a qualified health professional about your own care. In an emergency, call 911.

Using our websites

You agree to use our websites lawfully and respectfully. You agree not to:

• Give false information, or submit information about another person without their permission.
• Harass, threaten or harm other people.
• Interfere with the websites, attempt to gain access you are not given, or introduce harmful code.
• Copy or collect content or personal information from the websites by automated means without our written permission.

Events and registration

Registration for our events may be handled by a third party, such as RunSignup. That provider’s terms, and any waiver you accept when you register, apply to your registration and payment.

Refunds, transfers and deferrals follow the policy shown when you register. Event details such as times, routes, venues and activities may change, and events may be changed or cancelled because of weather, safety or other circumstances outside our control.

Taking part in a run, walk or other physical activity carries risk. You are responsible for deciding whether you are fit to take part.

Donations and sponsorships

Donations are processed by third party payment providers under their own terms. Unless we say otherwise in writing, donations are final. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us and we will do our best to help.

Laurie’s Love is a 501(c)(3) organization. Whether a gift, registration or sponsorship is tax deductible depends on your circumstances, so please ask your tax adviser.

A copy of the official registration and financial information (CH1573) may be obtained from the Division of Consumer Services by calling toll-free 800-435-7352 within the state. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval or recommendation by the state.

What you send us

When you send us a message, a story, a photo or other material, you confirm that you have the right to share it. You give Laurie’s Love permission to use it to respond to you and to operate our services. We will ask you before we publish your story or photo publicly.

Messages from us

If you give us your contact details, we may email you about what you asked for. Text messages are covered by our Mobile Terms. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Our content

The websites and their content, including the Laurie’s Love name, logo, text, photographs and design, belong to Laurie’s Love or to those who have licensed them to us. You may view and share our pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use needs our written permission.

Other websites

Our websites link to services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, terms or practices.

Disclaimers

Our websites and services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, Laurie’s Love makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the websites will be uninterrupted, free of errors or accurate in every detail.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Laurie’s Love and its directors, officers, volunteers and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of our websites or services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to cover Laurie’s Love for claims and costs that arise from your misuse of our websites or your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Pinellas County, Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. By continuing to use our websites after a change, you accept the updated terms.
